Born and raised in Tauranga, but now proudly call Rotorua my home. I have worked in early childcare for 7 years. I discovered Crossfit in 2013 as a really unfit and overweight person. I was soon hooked, and loved the atmosphere and family feel of it & quick results I was seeing. I have been Cross Fitting at CFTA for 3 years, I now have a real passion for the health and fitness industry after turning my life around for the better. I’m excited to be able to help others on their journey with Crossfit, come & join me.
Jureen Coetzee – Lvl 1 CrossFit Trainer
Richard Murray – Lvl 1 CrossFit Trainer – Chartered Accountant
Raised in Tauranga, but moved to Rotorua two years ago with my partner, I can honestly say we have never looked back. We love CrossFit Te Arawa and everything Rotorua has to offer, the Lakes, Redwoods, Culture, Mountains & people. I have always had a passion for sport, representing the Bay of Plenty in both surf lifesaving and rugby. Eventually this lead to giving CrossFit a crack when searching for that next challenge in my life. CrossFit has not disappointed, there are always things to be better at and I love the challenge of pushing harder than the day before. If you put your mind to it, the self-satisfaction & accomplishments are endless. It’s safe to say along with the family feeling of CrossFit Te Arawa, it wasn’t long before I was hooked and wanting to train every day! I enjoy helping others achieve their fitness goals and this is what lead me to wanting to become a Trainer, the feeling of seeing others succeed is super rewarding.
Alysa Duda (Parker) – Lvl 1 CrossFit Trainer – Speech Language Therapist
My CrossFit journey began in 2012, when I finally found a sport I loved and that challenged me after a long hiatus from competitive gymnastics. I started coaching at CrossFit East Auckland in 2014 working my way up to head coach in 2017. I specialise in gymnastics coaching and have a good knowledge of weightlifting, having competed for several years. After making the move to Crossfit Te Arawa this year it didn’t take long for me to want to join the coaching team of this awesome and friendly community. I have a real passion for helping others improve and achieve their goals and believe Crossfit is an excellent way to maintain health.

I try not to take myself to seriously, as I believe in a good sense of humor, but my philosophy is that nothing in life comes for free, good things come to those that work their ass off. My training philosophy emulates this.
I grew up in Taumarunui & bring a strong background in Business Management, for over a decade I have managed two major courier companies locally for Rotorua & currently manage two Retail Stores & a Carving Workshop for Mountain Jade Rotorua.
